Introduction

    University of the Punjab, The largest and the oldest seat of learning in country is maintaining Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), which has been producing engineers and technologists in the various Disciplines of Chemical Engineering of immense technical importance ever since 1917. The graduates of this faculty are playing an important role in manning the Chemical, Metallurgical and Allied and are thus contributing significantly towards economic growth of the country.

Recent new activities at FET/ICET are:

• New state of the art apparatus in Instrumentation And Process Control (IPC) lab have been installed with further more expected to come soon.
• Apparatus in other labs is being updated.
• M.S.c classes in the evening have started
• Courses have been revised and updated.
• Seminar room in the faculty has been established. (The best one and probably the only one at this campus)
• Computer laboratory has been set up and computer courses have been launched.
• Pentium computers and internet has been installed in computer laboratory.
• The session have regularized. ( My session will graduate approximately four months late while my juniors are expected to graduate in less than four years.)
• Engineer's Dinner has been organized twice in three years but expected to be organized annually.
• Multimedia has been installed in computer lab.
